The Raw Milk Program
The power of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has been focused on a national effort to ban the consumption of raw milk. This tireless effort has not been entirely successful. Today raw milk can be purchased at either the farm or retail in 28 states. Wisconsin has a bill currently winding its way through the legislature to legalize farm sales of raw milk.

Health Canada says raw milk more dangerous than cigarettes and alcohol
“What’s more dangerous for your health: smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol or drinking unpasteurized milk?
According to Health Canada, it’s drinking milk.
Canada is the only G8 country where the sale of raw milk is illegal. The country outlawed its sale in 1991. However, drinking raw milk is legal.
The debate over the legality of raw milk has recently surfaced because of two high-profile Canadian court battles.

Raw milk lovers say pasteurization not needed
In the late 1800s, primitive sanitation, refrigeration and rampant tuberculosis contributed to the deaths of thousands – if not millions – of milk drinkers. Louis Pasteur’s revolutionary technique of treating milk with heat to kill bacteria, known as pasteurization, almost eliminated those fatalities.
But raw milk producers say pasteurization is no longer necessary in an age where raw dairy can be produced safely...

Blah-blah over raw milk
The whole acrimonious debate over raw milk and so-called "food freedom" amazes me.
Ontario dairy farmer Michael Schmidt's not guilty verdict on 19 charges of selling raw milk is also being called a victory for consumer freedom, but really it's a defeat for public health.
I'll put my biases right up front. I'm a dairy farmer's daughter and I wouldn't drink raw milk if you paid me. ...

The Raw Milk Revolution: Behind America's Emerging Battle Over Food Rights

DRINK RAW MILK
So what is it about raw milk? You may have heard that people are drinking unpasteurized milk and it freaks you out given the e coli deaths related to spinach last year. What most people don’t understand is that organic products are not the problem, it’s the horrible concentration camps that animals are kept in...

Court approves raw milk co-op
The cows will still give their milk and their owners will still savour frothy mouthfuls straight from the farm. But now, the infamous cow-share program of Durham, ON, is legal in the eyes of the law. In a surprise move, a Newmarket court ruled Thursday that dairy farmer Michael Schmidt is allowed to continue his raw milk co-operative...
